I’m in love with these bold, saturated balloon curtains
We have decided on this quilt pattern by Anna Maria Horner. The inside of the pies will be rich red, fuchsia, and purple fabrics. We will keep the white edges for the pies (to highlight hand quilting) and do similar contrasts for the stars between the pies (the fabric for these stars is still undecided).
These are the fabrics we have so far
pinks, reds, purples. Some large scale patterns and some small scale patterns. I think we are missing some medium scale patterns and something fun for the binding.
And these are the fabrics we just ordered (from Alewives fabric store in Maine) to mix in with the ones above:
FIELD STUDY MIND’S EYE SAMBA. by Anna Maria Horner.
FIELD STUDY MIGRATORY LACE TOURLAMINE
by Anna Maria Horner
SANDLEWOOD TANGERINE. by Amy Butler.
PINDOTS ORCHID by RJR Fabrics
We are SO EXCITED to begin this project! I still have to buy fabric for the balloon curtains, but I think it’s going to be Sandlewood Tangerine by Amy Butler or Mind’s Eye Samba by AMH. I think we’ll wait to see the fabric in person before purchasing more for the balloon shade. I plan to line it so it will really block out ALL the light.

Hi! I'm Nicole and this "pantry book" is my notebook of homekeeping, crafts, and professional motherhood. Stay awhile to join me and my family on our journey of eucharisteo (radical gratitude) in the midst of life and loving our amazing Everett, our almost two-year-old son who lost over half of his brain in a stroke.
