Craft Room thread storage

I just wanted to share a little snippet of my craft room because I realized I omitted it when I showed my craft room earlier. And that snippet is my thread storage. I love the thread storage on the wall that so many people have, but I don’t think it’s a very efficient use of space and I read that thread can become brittle if exposed to the air or sunlight. So, this is how I store mine (under my sewing table):

This pic is terrible because of the backlighting, but I wanted to show how it looks all put together. I also wanted to show the labels (by color for regular thread, then by type for quilting thread and embroidery thread), but it’s really hard to see.

I love that I can grab it all together easily, and I can go right to the color or type that I need very quickly, too. I also love that I have pretty much any color I might need, so I don’t need to run to the store.

Hi! I'm Nicole and this "pantry book" is my notebook of homekeeping, crafts, and professional motherhood. Stay awhile to join me and my family on our journey of eucharisteo (radical gratitude) in the midst of life and loving our amazing Everett, our two-year-old son who lost over half of his brain in a stroke.
