=) I’m so happy to help someone!! I pretty much only buy things from amazon these days. It’s the area of my life that is the biggest compromise to my ideals of shopping locally, but it is such a lifesaver! The manga ink I have is: http://www.amazon.com/Zig-Cartoonist-Highly-Opaque-Black/dp/B006MW7NE6
But I also have Speedball super black and also Daler Rowney FW Acrylic Artist ink. I think each ink reacts differently with different nibs and especially on different paper. You really can’t do calligraphy on printer paper. I use smooth bristol board paper (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0027ACP0O). You should really try it!!! Pointed nib calligraphy is WAAAAYYYY more fun than calligraphy pens, IMHO.

The calligraphy intrigues me. I have not tried it. I’ve only used calligraphy markers- the kind where the tips are shaped and angled. I have not found a book that was helpful yet, so I will have to look into the one you mentioned.

It’s nice to hear the practical side of using the supplies (coming from another busy mom) :) Do you get your manga ink and other inks online too?

Thanks for sharing!
