Adele’s Gallery Wall

Whew! I am really getting into this kids room decorating thing. We decided to make a gallery wall on the largest wall in her room. I figure that we can just hang the frames in our new house too, since we are probably moving in a month or so.

It’s meant to be a rotating art display (thus the use of bulldog clips and the removal of backing and glass), so it will evolve and change over time, but here’s where we are as of today:

And here’s me trying to get the bed and the rug in the same shot (with an in-progress stage of the gallery wall from a few days ago), so you can see how everything relates to each other.

Oh, and we printed out a “responsibilities” or “jurisdictions” sheet for Adele. Adele loves it and she is actually doing it on her own (seriously, every day).

You can see Adele’s not-yet-finished Roman shades in this shot. But now I think I am going to go in a different direction. I just don’t like how busy they are with the contrast between the white and the ruffles from the quilt fabrics. I took these down and put up some plain white curtains I had from Ikea. Seriously, it’s so strange since I don’t have any other extra curtains laying around, and I don’t even remember when or why I bought these. Anyway, I plan to add a bright pom-pom fringe to the inside edge of the white curtains and call it a day! I bought a lavender leather hide to make a floor pillow thing, but I need to order one more (they are smaller than I thought) to have enough fabric.

And, just for funsies, here is a ridiculous belly shot :)
