Nature Study – caterpiller of Giant Leopard Moth (Hypercompe scribonia)

I was walking across the driveway when I spied this huge super fuzzy caterpillar.

I wasn’t sure if it was poisonous, so I scooped it up on a stick and brought it inside for identification.

Upon closer inspection, we noticed red bands. Which led us to it’s ID: Giant Leopard Moth (Hypercompe scribonia)
